I might get the product, but the updates are limited, and instead of making my life easy and fair (cause I fucking paid) the supplier is the source of the issues I suffer from. That's literally the reason I buy software. I get the product and I get updates, and if I encounter an issue I get support from the supplier of said product. I believe in paying for what I use, because when I pay for it, it's fair. How is this even a thing? I own a lot of software and never felt so much contempt towards the consumer. In Waves' case they make it seem like you purchase a product that's yours for ever - but then it becomes out of date and useless on modern software after a year or two - forcing you to pay up again.Īnd to top it all, if you want your license to be available on two machines at the same time (like every other software) you need to pay for the update plan. I think the software is amazing and I'm totally dependent on it as a producer / engineer.Although - I feel like Waves' treatment of their consumers is greedy and not transparent.I never really thought it would bother me that much, but now I feel like Waves is taking advantage of me.I bought the Diamond pack plus some single plugins. I use Waves software on a daily, on literally every project. TL DR - a Karen rant about Wave's transparency about 'owning' your software.
